  • Required to render direct casework and/or group work service to clients recognizing their physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs-making full use of agency and community resources. This includes obtaining and recording case data, making needs assessments, developing treatment plans and goals; and carrying out the treatment process which may include making appropriate referrals and follow-ups.

  • Required to answer the phones, receive visitors and appropriately direct them.

  • Keeps up-to-date records and statistics as required

  • Represents the Stapleton Corps to the social service community and may present the agency’s program to public or civic groups, under the direction of the Corps Officers

  • Contact other social service agencies regarding the client situation for the purpose of making interagency referrals and for the development of resources for the client

  • To contribute to the development of the Corps’ Ministries by actively participating in staff meeting

  • Assist with all aspects of the Food Pantry operation (including ordering, client appointments, organization and cleanliness), under the direction of the Corps Ministry Assistant

  • Receive clients and aid them with the appropriate specific assistance (including the issuing of Financial Assistance Vouchers), as directed by the Corps Officers.

  • Develop and maintain accurate case files for clients, as a part of their case management profile.

  • Work with clients to achieve goals and benchmarks for their specific case.

  • To develop a professional relationship with Corps Ministry Assistant, to identify outreach opportunities amongst social service clients and Star Lake Campers.

  • May be asked to provide translation for oral or written communications.

  • Serve as a secretary in Staff Meetings, Advisory Council Meetings and the like, as assigned

  • Keep general office area in good order and maintain orderly computer files and back-ups.

  • Assist in any other areas as assigned by corps officers, including fundraising.

  • Communicate with Advisory Council members, as necessary

  • To facilitate, in every way possible, the mission of The Salvation Army, at the direction of the Corps Officers.



  • High School Diploma Required; Associate’s Degree Preferred

  • ·Fluent in English & Spanish preferred

  • Must be punctual and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment Must be self-motivated, highly organized and able to work independently

  • Ability to maintain the highest standard of professionalism and confidentiality during and after employment, in all matters.
