Description:

The Food Pantry Coordinator oversees the operations of the Camden Kroc Center’s Choice Food Pantry, including but not limited to:  the supervision and coordination of food pantry volunteers, the purchasing and restocking of food pantry items, the monitoring of costs and quality control, the coordination of food delivery program (for the disabled, seniors, etc.), and the generation of various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.  Additionally, the Food Pantry Coordinator may assist may assist other outreach / social services staff in the conducting of outreach programs, and may provide general program and/or clerical support to the Outreach Manager as it relates to the successful execution of various outreach programs and services.


Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.  Three (3) or more years prior work experience in a food services / food pantry setting.  Prior experience supervising and/or coordinating the work of volunteers.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (including Word and Excel).  Knowledge of various email applications (i.e., Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes).  Good organization skills and timely follow up skills to insure that any concerns are reported timely, clearly, and addressed in an appropriate time frame for overall cleanliness and safety.  Must have good written and verbal communication skills.  (Bi-lingual English / Spanish a plus.)  Must have an understanding of an appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.  Must possess an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army and the Camden Kroc Center’s Core Values.
