Responsibilities:




  • Meet regularly with Corps Officers and GAINS Program Directors to make sure programs are in full compliance with contracted requirements.

  • Meet with Corps Officers and GAINS Program Directors to assist in reviewing of budgets, preparing budgets & budget modifications when necessary.

  • Assist Corps Officers & Program Directors in preparing and submitting required paperwork to meet State and local licensing requirements including preparing applications and renewals.

  • In collaboration with the Corps Officers, assure that the Program Sites are consistent in achieving established outcomes for all local GAINS Youth Programming.

  • Conduct regular site visits to the corps and at the request of the Corps Officer Along with the Youth Development Director, serve as a principle liaison to funders, DHQ, Finance, HR and any other department of the Salvation Army as necessary.

  • Participate in the RFP process to develop funding as directed by the Youth Development Director and the Director of Social Services.

  • Maintain relationship with NYC Board of Education.

  • Maintain relationship with New York Cares to ensure monthly field trips, as well as toys for Christmas.

  • Assist in setting up and/or providing State mandated training for staff.

  • Attend all Divisional staff meetings.

  • Develop and/or maintain relationship with private and government funders.

  • Provides all necessary assistance with CACFP.

  • Provide Administrative support to the Youth Development Director in the following areas:

  • Plan a semiannual meeting at DHQ with Corps Officers, Program Directors, and DYCD to make sure programs are in full compliance with contracted requirements.

  • Create unified Job Descriptions as necessary for all Child Care Staff.

  • Create a Program Manual for Corps Officers to have an understanding of the required contracted protocols of funders ACS.

  • Develop a Billing Timeline and Work Narrative on the billing process as outlined in the contract.

  • Create a central repository of information for all Youth programs: Maintaining statistics on Site, Staff, Children served and revenues.

  • Participate in the RFP process to develop funding as directed by the Youth Development Director and Director of Social Services

  • Additional duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Qualifications:




  • Bachelors Degree preferably in a youth related field or three years experience in outcome based youth programs.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Must be self directing and possess organizational skills.
