The Elizabeth Corps is seeking a Corps Secretary to assist with clerical/administrative duties, Christmas efforts, and oversee the Summer Day Camp program. Secretarial duties include, but are not limited to checking phone messages, typing/writing/mailing 'Thank you' letters to donors, ordering and maintaining office supplies, answering phones, and filing. The Corps Secretary will be responsible for preparing all paperwork necessary for Advisory Board meetings as well as taking minutes at each meeting and forwarding them to all board members. The Corps Secretary will assist the Human Services Coordinator with food pantry inventory and ordering as needed, assist with transporting children to camp, and assist with the Christmas effort by sending letters to stores for kettle site approval, placing ads for kettle workers and volunteers, assisting with Angel Tree mailings and implementation and picking up Angel Tree gifts from various sites.

For a few weeks in the summer, the Corps Secretary will act as Summer Day Camp Director. Responsibilities will include overseeing Vacation Bible School related events, including planning and executing daily activities and special programs, securing outside activities (pool, transportation, field trips), and delegating responsibilities to day camp staff to ensure the program runs smoothly. Responsibilities will also include maintaining files for all campers and staff, supervising, guiding and offering leadership to staff members, conducting staff meetings as needed, creating and distributing informative documents for parents, and planing and executing a graduation event.

The Corps Secretary will work a part time schedule throughout the year, with additional hours leading up to Christmas and a full time schedule as the Summer Day Camp Director.


The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in office work and working with children, and be willing and able to work extended hours as necessary.
