Schedule: Full time, hours vary, on-call responsibilities



Reporting Relationship: Program Director for DDP Montgomery County



Salary Grade: 10 Exempt



Description of Position: This position is a supervisory position (exempt) with 24 hour-a-day responsibility for overseeing and coordinating staffing and a wide array of other supports for persons with developmental disabilities residing in residential programs in Montgomery County. The work requires flexible scheduling to encompass some evenings and weekends as needed to provide appropriate oversight of the homes and to insure emergency response is available to meet health and safety needs. Main work locations are in Rosemont and East Norriton.


Requirements:

Requirements:



 



o Associate’s Degree or 60 credits related to the social service field and 2 years and relevant experience



o High School Diploma/GED and 5 years relevant experience in the social service field.



o Experience should include supporting people with a wide range of developmental disabilities, including individuals with dual diagnoses and self-injurious behavior.



o Must possess a working knowledge of federal, state and county guidelines/regulations pertaining to the provision of service for adults with developmental disabilities.



o Ability to track large amounts of information, including but not limited to: medical appointments, financial information, staff schedules, program information, petty cash, fire drills and quality surveys.



o Ability to work with management, staff, families and funding sources in a respectful and courteous manner.



o Ability to provide leadership direction and supervision to assigned personnel and to the program which drive the positive organizational climate essential to high-quality home management and service provision.



o Ability to effectively communicate with staff, persons receiving services, case managers and other service providers.



o Ability to manage monies and costs effectively.



o Ability to anticipate problems and initiate problem-solving.



o Supervisory experience in a related field will be considered in lieu of social service experience



o Have an appreciation and understanding of The Salvation Army mission.
